Finished product

After a long a hard 45 minutes of putting everything together and hours of preparations we have completed our  Self-sustaining eco-colomn .
The final product was very satisfying and pleasing to the eye as we had completed all the requirements.

In this picture we have a view of an opening flap so that we can make any adjustment to any one of the 3 compartments . This shouldn't be necessary as our eco colomn is completely self sustaining.

This picture to the right is of our aqua area. There are many living organisms here , including the pond weed ( green plants ) and organisms in the bore - hole water.

This is a picture of the middle ( Decomposition) area , this area contains Soil ; worms ; insects and decomposing fruit and vegetables.

This picture is of the top ( Terra ) section . Terra means earth , as with we added plants ; worms ; insects and soil. Everything you would find on the surface of the earth.

In order allow our self sustaining ecosystem to thrive without human contact we placed it in the Bishops green-house . We made sure to place it near the back so nobody attempting to reach their ecocolomn would  move ours disrupting the systems taking place.
In the event that too much water accumulates in our aqua section we will make use of our over-flow pipe to catch water.

Contributions we made by both Andrew and Jordan
